I recently had a very small bump that appeared just between the crack of my backside, directly on my tailbone! A few days later it was the size of a golf ball. The pain was throbbing so much that it seemed to have its own pulse. I couldn’t sit, stand, walk or do anything really. It was the absolute worst pain I’ve ever experienced. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a Pilonidal Cyst. The cyst was past the early onset so my doctor referred me to a surgeon. The problem was my surgery was scheduled for 2 weeks out.  I figured I would use my essential oils until I could get this thing out!

Essential Oils I Used For a Pilonidal Cyst

To ease discomfort:

In a veggie cap every 6-8 hours: 6 drops Marjoram, 6 drops Frankincense and 6 drops Lemongrass.

*** If the essential oil clearly states DO NOT INGEST, PLEASE DO NOT INGEST! Not all oils are created equal. Do your research or Contact me, I can help.***

To support cell function:

I had my mom and husband use the aromatherapy massage kit on me 2 times each day. Once in the morning and once in the evening. They did 3-4 drops of each oil down my spine and rubbed them in as well as over the cyst. Finally, within the kit, they took 1 drop of Peppermint and 1 drop of Wild Orange and rubbed those on the bottoms of my feet.  (Here’s the list of oils that make up the massage kit: Fractionated Coconut Oil, Grounding Blend, Lavender, Melaleuca, Protective Blend, Massage Blend, Soothing Blend, Wild Orange, and Peppermint.)

Water is always in order!

Please drink lots of water after applying essential oils to your routine. This will allow the flow of waste to exit the body plus you will be thirsty.

My Happy Ending:

About 4 days later the cyst was no longer causing me any pain or discomfort and it was down to about the size of a nickel but still in the shape on an “n” if that makes sense. I called my doctor’s office to report the progress. To my surprise, my doctor informed me that because it was going away on its own surgery was no longer needed and my appointment was CANCELED! She did express there was a huge possibility it could return and suggested that I keep an eye on it. Since then I’ve done just that but no bump or lump is in sight so I am one HAPPY and FOREVER THANKFUL mama!
